I'm a published author. I still can't believe I get to say thatI'm 52 and I've been writing this novel on and off since my kids were little. Honestly, I never thought it would leave my laptop. I was so nervous before the first call that I nearly cancelled, but my project manager made me feel like my story actually mattered. The edit was gentle but honest, the cover made me cry (good tears!!) and they handled all the Amazon stuff I'd been dreading. When the box of paperbacks arrived I sat on the kitchen floor and just held one for about ten minutes. To any first time author sitting on a manuscript: please just do it.
